Purpose:
The purpose of the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority is to provide public transportation services, which are safe, dependable, and cost effective thereby enhancing the quality of life in our community.
Maximum Membership:
12 members to include:
-1 Hillsborough County Commissioner;
-1 Temple Terrace City Council Member;
-1 Mayor of Tampa or a Tampa City Council Member.
Length of Terms:
3 year terms

Florida Statute 163.565, Charter adopted by Board of Directors of Authority January 21, 1980; BOCC Resolution February 27, 1980; City of Tampa Resolution January 29, 1980
Meeting Time and Place:
Monthly, 1st Monday, 8:30 a.m.
County Center, 26th Floor
Special Requirements:
- Financial disclosure required.
- Unincorporated residency required.
