Opera singer apprentices from the Patel Conservatory visited the Brandon Senior Center on November 6, much to the delight of the participants. The experience was very moving, and the seniors were entranced by the music. They sang for an hour, including "Oh, Danny Boy", "Man of La Mancha", "Let There Be Peace on Earth", and they even sang Happy Birthday to a participant. Encore performances have been scheduled at more senior centers in the spring.
Julie Vaccaro, Brandon Senior Center Manager, raved about the opera, "It was the most wonderful performance I believe our centers have EVER witnessed! It was amazing to see the reaction from our clients! It was truly over-the-top!"
